    Solved Retrieve Old Posts

    Post by Raven14 Sun 29 Sep - 19:28

I was working on moving some forums to another forum where I keep the "old" posts at my group. Somehow, the old posts forum got deleted yesterday. Is there any way that I can retrieve the old post?

Thank you for this helpful information, Draxion, but I can't sign into the Utilities. I don't know what my original founder's password was. I have a password for the founder, but it isn't working. I do not recall changing this password.

I'm getting the message that the password is incorrect.
I've tried using the email as well as the forum link, but my password is wrong.

Is there any way that I can have my founder's password changed through Forumotion Help?

I have had password issues since I've reopened my forum about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I hate to keep asking
    so many questions.

I did send the PM, but I know it doesn't work. I have had problems since I reopened my group.
I'm getting so confused because the Utility pw hasn't been changed since I opened in 2013, yet
I can't get in. I am able to sign into AP using my current username and pw. That is why I'm confused.

Update: I cannot find forum utilities at AP. Where would it be located? I saw it a few days ago because I backed up my forum.

Another Update: My forum is finally restoring. The message on the restore page says to not leave the page. I left the page open and going back to sit at the page. How long does it normally take to restore?

It depends on what kind restore you did, if you did a full restore it can awhile.

I only chose the Posts restore, but it has restored my username and now I'm locked out of the group again.

I sent a PM to you and SLGray. I'm desperate in need of my pw recovery. I'm not getting any options when I
try to sign into my group.

I saw a full restore, posts, and some other choices, but chose Posts only. I didn't want a full restore, but it is still restoring and I have the posts back. Is it alright to disconnect from the restore now? I can try using my founder's account, but I have a new pw for it as well. I will try though.

Update: I am back into my group again. I had to go back to founder's account and re-enter my new pw and then was able to sign into my forum.

I did get my posts retrieved as well.

Thank you everyone. This issue has been solved.
