Changing the forum url

I searched the forums for this info, but saw nothing. I tried asking elsewhere on a simliar thread, but the thread got locked and my questioned was overlooked. I hope someone can answer this, and forgive me if this is in the wrong place or something.

I want to change a forum name, and want to know if changing the name/url will cause the design to reset, or
all the current posts to disappear, or will everything be preserved the way it is now. I actually do not want to change anything but the address, (which will also change the name I presume) and wish all the posts, pages, and categories to stay the same.

Is this possible when you change the forum name/url , to be even clearer, I want the forumotion. com part to stay the same, I only want to change the domain name (sub domain name) not the server, if that makes sense

All you are doing is changing the link of the forum.  The only thing this will effect is your SEO, advertisement you have post on the Internet, and anything on your forum that contains the old link.

I'm sorry, I do not see how to do that.
I was stating above that I had been helped meaning it was solved.

Is there a button or something I don't see? or do you just need this: Solved
