Invisible forum, but not in widget

Hey there,
I don't know if it's possible, but I want to make a few blogs on my forum. The thing is I don't want them to be visible to registered users in the forum index (I want them only to be visible there for certain user groups), but only visible in a widget on a portal page.

Right now I tried this with the forum permissions set to not able to read the forum, but able to read the topics. Only the blogs/topics don't show up in the widget on the portal page.

When you create the blog sections, set the permissions for the correct groups.  You are talking about the default blog feature, correct?

Yes, correct.
I did set the permissions for the correct groups. In de forum index, it does what it's supposed to do. You don't see the blog subforum in the index, but you can see a topic from that subforum when you have the link to it. That's what I want. But the problem starts when I use the 'news' widget on my portal. Normally you would see the topics made in that subforum in that news widget, but because I set the permissions to you can only read the topics and not see the actual subforum, the topics don't show up in that widget.
I want the topics of that subforum to be seen in the 'news' widget without the subforum being visible in the forum index. I hope I explained it alright. English is not my native language.

Not sure it can be done like that sorry.

I'm not really the one to be sure as i never used it before.

Ah, too bad. And there isn't any other way, like a html page or java script?

You could just remove the news widget.

That kinda defeats the purpose I believe?
