Disable members choice to be contacted by email

Hi is there a way to stop members allowing other members to contact them via email? So the email icon on the bottom of their posts doesn't show.

only the admin can view the email option from the contact field (when you viewing profile)
the members are seeing only the private message option

One of my members selected allow members to contact me by email. In their posts the email icon was showing to other members. It doesn't give them her email address but allows them to fill a form out that sends the message to their email address. I checked it with my member account and I could see and use it.

For now I have just removed the email button completely. I would have liked to keep the option for Admin to use if they wish, however I would rather remove it from the forum than allow members to use the option.

Why if they want to allow it?

Because from previous experience a lot of trouble gets caused on a forum from private messages. If this arises via PM we can react better to it. I have had very unpleasant experience of this myself, and it is better for people to keep communications within the forum.

Just my opinion on the subject. Albeit tainted by a nasty situation I found myself in
