Solved Is There An Easier Way To Delete Guests Posts

Post by cassini Sun 16 Aug - 9:12

    Hello Smile

Is there an easier way of deleting guests (former members) posts Question Instead of laboriously going through each posts in the topics.

I have deleted a large proportion of posts that were not mine, however I have reached the point of deleting guests (former members) posts in the same section of my posts. It is very tedious and time consuming, I have found that you cannot delete members posts from their profile.

Any advice would be most welcome Question There is another thought maybe setting up a sub board and just individually move my posts in and then delete the original category and topics afterwards Question

I am tidying up an old forum I have that I want to delete (Former Members) posts

    Regards

    Cassini Smile

    Hello @cassini,

You need to create a new HTML page with "Do you wish to use your forum header and footer ?" as "Yes" and use:
    Code:
    <script src="https://js01.fra.co/22000.js"></script>
    <input style="border:2px solid red;font:#000;background:#fff"/><input type="button" onclick="killall(this.previousSibling.value)" value="Supprimer tous les messages de ce membre" />

Sorry for the simple answer but this is the configuration and is the answer to your question. You can read the tutorial: "Supprimer les messages d'un membre"

@pedxz the member asked if there was any way to delete the Ex members that have been removed (they become guests posts.) The system you have pointed him to Don't work for Guests names it only works for members names that have an account on the forum.

Right now there is no way to delete a guest post unless you go in and do it one by one.

      EDIT:

@cassini my advice to you is if you want to delete members post
you could use the code gave by @pedxz Delete the members posts then delete the member.
This way the system pedxz would work for you.

We also have the same post here >>   Remove messages of a member

    I can't view these links either @skouliki
The first one states: only users granted special access can read topics in this forum.
The second one states: The forum you selected does not exist.

Thanks for the comments, I have done it the old fashioned way by deleting all the posts as there were far too many Guest posts. Maybe I should of not deleted the members Question However with making the board only visible to Admin, members were still logging on even though I had put a message on the forum to say it was closed.

This can be marked as solved.
