    In progress Post Message delay

    Post by peter59 August 28th 2020, 12:25 pm

I have received some e-mails recently from some off my forum members, saying that the PMs they are sending are staying in the outbox for up to 4 hours. Has anyone else encountered this problem, or know of a fix.

    Regards
    Pete

The question is has the receiver exactly read the PM.  Only after the receiver reads the PM will it be moved to the sentbox.

    Hello,

The edit button is the little blue button in the top right that looks like a pencil:
    Post Message delay Edit_b10

As for your issue, it's not really an issue at all. When you send a pm, it will stay in the outbox until the member you sent the message to opens it and reads it. At that point the message moves to the 'Sent box'

This is how the system has always worked. So it is not a bug or a problem.

Please start a new topic for this issue.  Also post a screenshot of what you see while using the mobile device.

Is the issue in the first post solved?

You can also view the forum from 'classic' or 'desktop' version and then your phone will display the computer version. You should be able to toggle it from the menu at the top.

Anyway is your issue regarding pms being delayed solved? As I explained what your members describe is perfectly normal.

Wait a minute!  Are you talking about PM's or posts in topics?  Your topic title seems to refer to posts in topics.

Outbox: This contains all PMs that you have sent already, but that have not been read yet. A message in the Outbox is already sent, it just waits to be read by the recipient. Once read, the message goes to the Sentbox. So you can exactly say, which messages have been noted already and which haven't.
