Description of problem

Hi, I've tried adding a domain that I already own but it took me to a purchase page. I've purchased the wrong domain name secreatticwriters.com

The domain, I already own is secretatticwriters.com

I want to cancel that purchase and attach the domain name I already own, is that possible?

In your AP, is there not a message about cancelling the domain name?

Where do I find messages?

Under the Domain part it just says:

Your order for the domain name secreatticwriters.com is in process.

Please use the edit button so you will not double post.

So the domain name has not been added yet?

No, said it will take 10 days?

I want to attach the Domain name I already own with GoDaddy... is that possible?

To use a domain name, you have to have an advanced package or a premium package.

I have a Premium Package.

I have the CNAME record on GoDaddy pointing to secretattic.forumotion.com

When I go to the Forum Address in the AP and try to change it to the personalised domain www.secretatticwriters.com it says:


You already have an external personalized domain name for your forum.

But the current address for the forum is: secretattic.forumotion.com

So, is this because I have ordered a domain name, the wrong one (my mistake - a typo) or do I wait for the change?

Also, I paid for a domain name I don't want and need to cancel/reverse the payment I made.

UPDATE: the www.secretatticwriters.com address goes to the site but not Secure - The SSL is not working on the domain name, just the forum one.

Seems you are offline now, so I am not receiving any help. I have opened a case with PayPal to get a refund.

Hello @Secret Attic Writers The team here on our support forums are all voluntary and work all around the world from home. we can not be on 24hrs a day but we do try and help.

As you have now opened up a case with paypal it will now make it hard for us to help you more.
