3ds an Wii U chatbox login

I checked Wii u an 3ds including new 3ds xl the chatbox login doesn't work properly it doesn't say your logined in. The chatbox does work correctly but login to chat doesn't. Wii u an 3ds have keyboard function just like any browser or tablet or phone has. Me still being a sort of a volunteer helper on this front back then it worked fine. 3ds XL an Wii U still work correctly on there browser on Forumotion meaning you can post an see it properly like tablet an phones do

Also another note a member of mine uses a phone an couldn't see the Login for awhile or show up notable thing to for built in chatbox on a Forumotion.

Wii U browser- Working Correctly but won't login to chatbox
3Ds / New 3ds XL browser- Working Correctly but won't login to chatbox

Both I can login to my account correctly on ether device just can't use chatbox even though it will load page correctly won't connect properly after loged in your own account I checked yesterday.

Chatbox message says always you are disconnected
When tabing or clicking login on chatbox will say Username is now in the chat

The url to chatbox I placed in navigation bar works correctly an shows the chatbox page on both devices

Sadly The Wii system has always had problems with our forum's and we are sorry for that but your browsers for the Wii is Not 100% the same it is more basic and it don't like some JavaScripts.

The problem is we do not use Wii's to test our codes and forums settings as this is not a big thing.
I don't even think we test our forums when it comes to playstation and other games console's.

The problem is we don't all have a Wii u to test this so this in it's self is a problem.
I have a basic Wii and I have just tested a forum chatbox and I have the same problem.

Sadly I think this is one thing we offer that is not going to work right on a games console.

@ape thanks for letting me know but before the change it use to work on wii console an 3ds just fine back then.

Right now it is working just not allowing login into chatbox everything else is working as I said in my previous post in status

I am more then happy to keep a eye out on console side for chatbox.

Everything else has no issues with console site like login an viewability .

I think it has to deal with console keyboard access ability but I can see chatbox page I will post proof via screenshot

As you see from my screenshot from my live tablet camera is what you see it's doing from my Wii u console side @ape.
I can correctly login into my account via console side fine no issue there with normal login.
When I tab the chatbox url on the navigation bar like we're home ECT go on a forumotion an try to enter chatbox it does allow me to view the page. Just what the screenshot I posted to you it will not enter the chatbox upon tabing the login on console it doesn't nothing only shows online away an doesn't say your disconnected message on chatbox like it does on higher tablet or pc or phone devices.

There must of been a change to script somewhere to chatbox for console
I believe like a year ago I don't remember exactly it allowed console to connect to chatbox it would open the keyboard just like it does on tablet or phone devices.

3ds an Wii u have a built-in keyboard so you can browse online like sites what not to search on Google ect. Something must of changed in the script that Nintendo counsel hates for chatbox forumotion keyboard to act normaly or it might be the login chatbox script I have no idea. Before it worked fine it's odd to put into words an explain.

In attachment 1 on wii u an 3ds just like my tablet screenshot shows it would say that on console a year ago I remember it working just like this fine on console.
Attachment 2 screenshot is what would happen upon tabing login in chatbox on console it would correctly say your logined in ect like tablet can.
Once logged in chatbox console you could enter the text box field it would pop up keyboard just like it does on tablets or iPad can on console an chat away no mader what console could handle it fine back then again something in scripting changed for chatbox for consoles.

This my best memory I have back then using console to update my forum an rp with my members etc .

My best guess it could do with the premium package forumotion added in chatbox were you can add one or more chats in the box this could be why it's not working correctly my best beat for free packages.

Packages add-ons can mess with scripting what forumotion was once before do a bit of research were you can still keep consoles reliable in a chatbox setting. You can if your clever enough keep what free packages had before the new premium package was installed in is probably why it's not working for consoles is my assumption.

When did you exactly noticed this issue?  If it was last year, why did you not come then to ask for help?  Also there was no change for the chatbox last year.  Was there a change (update) for the Wii console?

The day I first post or before this was posted I noticed it. An no Wii u never updates hardly but still works fine with normal forumotion functions. 3ds does get updated at random times I forget when last 3ds update was I tend to post here news of it. I know it's not forumotion related but it helps inform this up to speed.

@Ape I don't think the original Wii is great source it used Wi-Fi from router to use internet browser since Wii eShop shut down not to long ago Wii is not a good reliable console source to be using, Wii U an 3ds family are good reliable sources because they use the same Internet browsers there one in the same console

The internal web browser of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles uses a very old and deprecated browser. This web browser is no longer compatible with many current technologies, some of which are used in the Chatbox.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to maintain perfect compatibility with this type of old version, deprecated browsers, hence the concerns you encounter.

On the other hand, we will launch a patch tomorrow for the problems identified on the old Internet Explorer browser. These fixes might solve your problem.

Okay thanks I will be on the look out for that patch then . An that is understandable to in previous post above an it makes sense. The wikipedia revealed alot to about the browser so after reading that it makes sense the word (partial) an each main section that helps you see online on the console like HTML 5 etc that have (partial) is understandable why it can't keep up. Any ways I will solve this once the patch happens an I test the consoles I own.

I just want to add as I am sure you know already, that the Wii U is no longer supported by Nintendo in many aspects, being it has been 3 years since they discontinued it. The 3ds wasn't built to be used a full fledged web browser either, so not surprised that it would have a limited and out dated web browser. I would expect that you will continue to have problems in the future as sites update and use more advanced (and better) coding standards.

Personally I would just recommend buying a low end tablet and using that to browse the web on if you do not have a smartphone or pc, even the cheapest of tablets will support browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox which support the latest coding standards.

Well your wrong I checked yesterday on my console side chatbox works on Wii u even so a browser is a browser as long as it still is working until such time Nintendo decides to discontinue or end support for browser then it acceptable @brandon_g for now forumotion has to follow along. Even if wikipedia says partial Wii u an 3ds browsers work because of the key points of HTML 5. An I know HTML coding never updates or change coding but as for Java script code yes that changes frequently I know alot what each coding front stay the same an ones that change often. So I keep myself an my users happy on forumotion that use older console also if the new PS5 gets browser then guess what happens console will stand important for forumotion useage

Keep in mind newer future consoles can have browser online for use you never know as I said PS5 an the new Xbox ect more unamed future consoles old one will retain value with online browser useable until the company's decided to discontinue it an that function.
