Problem with moderator username change

Version is phpBB3. I am an administrator.

This is concerning a member who is also a moderator. She had asked me as admin to change her username from Pamela 7 to Pamela. I did that but I did not take username Pamela 7 off as moderator before changing the username. The board she is moderator of still shows the username as Pamela 7 (in the admin panel) even though no such username exists. We tried setting up a new board with Pamela as moderator but it defaults to Pamela 7. She hasn't been in since we noticed the problem so I don't know if username Pamela has moderator privileges or not.

hello

go admin panel..users and groups ..groups
go to the moderator's group click the yellow modify icon
remove the pamela7 if it exists and add the pamela

if you have ranks do the same with the ranks

go to pamela's profile from users and groups ..users management ..scroll down her profile and check the
Current memberships : moderators
if you have ranks see also the last field
Rank title : moderators

Is the issue only that the username did not change for the board she was the moderator of?  Did you set the default option for this or added the moderators' usernames manually?

I think they were being added by default. The advice given here worked. Thank you so much.
