Turn off comments

Hi!

How do I Turn off comments on a topic?

Instead of deleting the entire item!

I do not see where to do this?

Or it may not be possible?

I can lock forum categories, and have done so with two categories, but I can not lock a single thread in a category?

As far as I can see, I can only delete the entire thread and not lock the comments for a single thread in that category?

Hello,

Yes you can lock topics. There are 3 ways to do this: 1 by clicking the lock icon underneath the 'Quick mod tools' dropdown box. 2nd you can click 'select' where it says 'Quick Mod Tools' and then click 'Lock this topic' from the options available, then click 'Go' to save the option. The 3rd way is the longest way to do it, but if you need to lock multiple topics at once it is the way to go, and that is to click the 'moderate this forum' forum link under the 'Permissions in this forum' section, this will take you to the moderator control panel where you select from 1 or more topics to perform a variety of mod functions to, including locking it.
