There are many things Admin can't see or doesn't know

For instance . It took several months of posts here before we straightened out the ability for me ( Admin ) to get an email monthly for the " Popular Contents " .

That is the only email notification I receive from my website .

Once in a blue moon someone will post a reply in a forum . I get those email notifications .

I have no idea what notifications any of the 420 registered users receive . ( Mostly not active for over 6 years now )

I would hate to think they get emails for everything I move around or update or post new .

I would hate to think that they don't either .

So just what do they get in their emails ?

Back in the day when we were active with dozens of members visiting per day . I could get no one to respond to questions like that .

I need to know . Because I don't get emails for anything I do in the Forum .

what you are asking is based on your forum settings

you can set some general settings for your forum but each member can set her/his own profile settings including what notifications want to receive and how ( from their profile - notifications )
