Help with setting up categories and forums

Good afternoon, I'm new here so hope I'm in the right place.

I've just started setting up my own forum.



A category I started also appears as a forum, 'The Making of Civilisation' although it shows nil posts I can't delete it, it's the entry under the forum name and above the actual category that I wish to delete.

I get either of the following two onscreen messages.

Yes I have read the tutorials you kindly linked but they don't appear to answer my question.

It looks like I may have inadvertently created a category and forum in the same name and the forums created have been dumped in both, hence I can't delete the unwanted forum without deleting everything.

The only way around I can see is to copy everything then delete and start all over again, if I can't live with the eyesore. Otherwise just remove it from view.

Please consider this solved, I will of course get back to you if any further problems arise.
