Founder Tools

I wrote my first post a few days ago, but it has disappeared from here.
I'm guessing it wasn't in the right place?
I want to transfer my founder status to an admin member of our forum, but would like to remain as an admin member myself.
This is all due to my health.

I tried looking through other posts and recall seeing a link for Founder Tools, but I can't find that again now.

Please can someone help me?

Hi.

Just add that member to the admin group.

He will have access to almost everything (except some sensible parts like credits management, templates etc), but you will still have control over the forum.

The person I want to transfer founder status to is already an admin member.
However, she will need to be able to see the credit management and other things when I'm no longer here (serious health issues). Best to get this done before it happens.

That has a problem for you, that you must give him the founder credentials, and he can change them, and leave you without a forum, and even if you claimed it they couldn't do anything, why couldn't you provide correct foundation information, if he changes these data for new ones.If you are still sure to do it, you just have to give him your credentials, so he can act as founder, nothing more.

You really need to understand that this is a big risk of you losing the forum.  You are giving someone access to the founder's account which that can change.

P.S.  We can not guarantee that the new founder will keep you as an administrator.  This is between you two.

The admin member I want to transfer to has been friend of mine for over 40 years, so I'm more than happy to pass over any information to her.
What credentials would I need to pass on - would it be just my login details? If so, could she then change the email address for servimg and anywhere else it is shown?

You will need to give your friend the login information for the founder's account on the forum and for the Founder's Tool.   If the founder's tool information is not change, it will still show as you are the founder.

Thank you. I did go to that page and change the password - is that all I have to do to make sure that the founder status will get changed?

That doesn't seem to cover my situation. I am still wondering about SL Grays reply above:
" If the founder's tool information is not change, it will still show as you are the founder."

You would need to change the email to one that the new founder uses.  If you do not, our database will show your email as the foundation email.
