    Calendar Empty Calendar

    Post by rusty9 December 20th 2006, 5:46 pm

i know there is a calendar and that you can add dates to the calendar but only by making a topic about it. i would like admins to have the pwer to put dates on the calendar without making a topic about it. and on the home page if there is speacial date listed in the calendar, it will show up on the homepage like this

    "Upcomming Events: Christmas, Dec. 25"

This will be a good idea, it could really help notifying people of upcoming events.

and also the power to maybe control a whole month with the same day. like since i run a forum about wrestling, there is a show called raw that is on every mon. and it would be easier to control maybe the whole month for monday instead of using a lot of time by doing it by day. does any oen understand what i'm sayin?

Using Rusty's example, he can post an event directly to the calendar every Monday without having to flood his forums.

cause, we can add important events straightly in to the calendar... no need to create a certain thread for it....

when the year starts, we straightly enter all the important events manually. so, no need to add with hurry on that certain time...

    A great idea!

    Why?

It will make the use of the calendar easier for everyone and it will actually get used more.

Looks like a good idea. Would mean that we don't have to create a new topic to add an event to the calendar! I hope this one goes ahead. I voted yes.

I would like this I don't use the calendar as you have to make topics to use it and I think that sucks.

    Then get annoyed!
We can't control the technicians, and currently, they're busy on resolving ugs and server downtimes.
Finally, they're not forced to produce any of these suggestions, that's why they're called suggestions

I really like this idea as we have many different events running throughout each month and can get very busy. People dont tend to look in the calendar so having events linked onto the Homepage would work wonders.

Voted yes because, as others have said - it will be a time-saver in the long-term, & no last minute rush having to write topics to get things on the calendar.
