    Forum width problem... Empty Forum width problem...

    Post by -Lee- May 21st 2008, 6:56 pm

    Hi. I recently installed a new theme from Hitskin.com however I can't seem to change the width. It is too narrow and I want to make it wider but whenever I press Save it doesn't do anything, although it does change the number to what I told it to???

    Here are some screen shots:

    Forum width problem... Forum_15

    This is what I type in, and it updates the preview...

    Forum width problem... Forum_16

    Then when I click save the preview goes back to normal but the percentage I typed stayed the same?

    Forum width problem... Forum_17

    This is what it looks like in general.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this as it is really annoying me! IT WONT CHANGE!!! Here is the URL to my forum: http://programcreation.forumotions.net/index.htm

    the custom CSS is overriduing the width
    go to admin panel-> styles -> colors -> CSS tab
    find wrap and change its % to the one you want

    Could you show a screen shot on what I have to change. I have never used CSS Files before and it looks a little complicated. I understand it's the wrap but there is loads of sections on the wrap?

    Thanks for the screen shot however where abouts is this? I have been scrolling up and down for ages and I can't seem to find it. Could you show me where it is, like show a screen shot showing where about it is, with the scrollbars, etc.

    Sorry about all this, its just that this is all new to me. Sorry if this is annoying you.

    the screen shot Siigve gave you is the css of phpbb2
    search for this instead:
    Code:

    #wrap {
    width: 70%;
    margin: 0px auto;
    background-color: transparent;
    border: 0px # solid;
    padding: 5px;
    }
    these codes are in line #123 (I guess)
    just change the "width: 70%;", and because different person has different screen resolution, I think you should fix that width like 800px or sth intead of **%
    after that remember to edit your wallpaper to fit the new width Wink
