I have a forum, MediaMania, and it only has a few members. What can I do to attract more people to register and participate?

you need to contribute to your own forum, like how i do to mine.

you need to put things that would make people come back for more like mine.

this was also my big problem;
my plan? now was to host a major network site, change my whole theme change my category since mine was computer base, but computer related stuff doesnt give much interest on most of site friendly seeker, so ill change my category unto miscellanious make my old forum name ce-hub as a group host of organizers, for a major network site.change my theme into lighter, and create a lot of stuff to add more interest. create a main portal like forumotion does... promote into the "what ive said major network site" link to be officialy affilliated, start promoting and promoting...

Exchange links with other forums through affiliation to gain more traffic. Submit your forum to search engines like http://freewebsubmission.com/.

already had that option but i think its better to promote manualy
