It sounds as if some one has added one of these refresh links that asks you mail client to open, be it windows live mail, outlook etc

You would have to find where the code was posted/added (Could be a signature) and delete it

When the forum loads and refreshes outlook exp will stop loading

    regards

    hi,

the use of HTML (access) are disabled at our forum and that includes posting html codes at signature... only the bbcode is accessible, so why we keep facing this?

recently, our forum is as good as you think but after the New Updates of forumotion, we started encountering this mail client.
we, tried also not to use the signature feature, but still, our mail client is accessing...

    more help please...

    thank you...

Ok i just had a quick peek at your code and i see some javascript lurking int here that when i open the link i was sent to a page that was called "WORD OF THE DAY"

Now this javascript file opened in my download files first because it thought i wanted to download so maybe if you haven't got javascript set to open with a standard client it will try to send it using your mail client

This appears to be the most likely cause

I cant see anything else that was causing an issue

    Regards

it has nothing to do with our forum javascript 'word of the day'...
we'd used it for almost a year and found no errors on it...
by the way, i think the forumotion technicians had already fixed it...
thank you for your accomodation to my query.
