Solved Need to sort users by email address [solved]

Post by Made November 14th 2008, 11:26 pm

It has happened many times, that some of my forum users, forget their username and email me to let them know what it was. Normally, they only remember the email account they registered with but there isn't an option in the ACP to sort members by email address! This makes it impossible for me, with almost 3000 members in my forum, to locate that user and provide him/her with the information they need to login again.

And creating a new account isn't the most desirable solution as they would loose their post count.

Is there any way to do this? It will be really helpful.

    Thanks.

If you know their username just click on the User & Groups and their Profile to see their email.

I appreciate your help but if you read my OP, the first thing I said is that the user FORGOT HIS/HER USERNAME and that is my biggest problem 'cause I don't have a way to search them by it. They don't usually forget their email address though, so having a tool to sort them by email address will come in really handy.

there isnt a way to sort or order email address by "alphobetical order" or such as that.
But you can search for an email address
Admin panel>>Users&Groups>>Search users>> Under username type in the email address and it will come up with the corosponding email address or address'...i have just tried this myself, so i know it works!
