I tried to create a new post but it said the contents were too long. (I was actually copying and pasting a really good article I had recently seen)

Is there a way of increasing the amound of characters you can post within the body of a post without me having to split it?

There are 8000 symbols per 1 post.

You're way off being correct. You don't even have the right map, let alone the right right track.

In one message (reply, or post) you can post a maximum of 15 999 characters (Including spaces).

It was never 8000 characters. I don't know where you got that number from.
