Question about the auto delete option

I have had a few complaints about the time that it takes to load my site. I am thinking of activating the option of auto delete. My question is:

If I activate the auto delete will we loose the threads that are locked? T

There are some threads I do not want to be deleted.

It will delete them, if u do not tell it that you want it to prune to the basket (selected forum such as the garbage forum)

If it prunes to the basket, it will not be deleted just moved.
