Most likely, either something has been added to the CSS to make everything underlined, or its the layout.

Have you tried a different templatte?

As you were setting up the forum, it's possible you've added <u> somewhere toward the beginning? If you don't close the tag: </u> everything DOWN from that point can be altered. I've done that myself, lol . . . .
