I was just wondering if there is a way that we could hide posts in a certain topic or forum, until a user has reached a certain amount of posts, then the forum or category would be visible. If you don't understand I've placed image examples below:





And I was thinking maybe we would be able to choose the amount of post the user needs to be able to view that forum.

I think it's a good idea!!!

The way to already do this:

First create several "RANK TITLE".

Then, assign a certain number of posts. Now a user may only obtain this special rank title after they post the limit you desire.

On my forum, a user has a RANK TITLE of "MEMBER" only when they have posted at least 30 times. Before that, they might be called a "NOOB", or "JUNIOR MEMBER", etc.


Finally, just send every registered user on your forum a message that they may have access to a "Special Forum" once they achieve a certain rank. This should be the RANK TITLE you created earlier.



Then, separately, create a CUSTOM USER GROUP.

Finally, under GENERAL, go to FORUM, CATEGORIES AND FORUMS, and go to the far right side. Toggle PERMISSIONS, and only add that CUSTOM USER GROUP. Only that CUSTOM USER GROUP can enter your special forum.

Obviously, as each person achieves the special RANK TITLE, they should send you a PM, requesting access. When they do, add them to your CUSTOM USER GROUP. You can quickly find out if they have reached the required number of posts by simply looking at their profile. If they have earned the RANK TITLE, then just add them to your special CUSTOM USER GROUP, and they will then be able to access the special forum you created for them.
