I remember see some forumotion sites with like users that have been online in the last 24 hours or smthin how can I get that for my forum and is there a way I can get that and take off users online that are online right now?

You can do it by going to Admin CP > Display > Generalities > Display list of connected members during last 24* hours : 'Yes' > Save.
You can adjust the time below that.
