    Post by Dunggate September 14th 2009, 8:04 pm

    Could someone please either direct me to a How to thread
    or explain please

    how to place into a Click Here to reveal a link
    which would take others to maybe a particular website to read more on a subject.

    Hope you can understand what I am asking.
    Thanks in advance.

    first have this
    Code:
    [url=
    now place your link after the = sign
    like this
    Code:
     [url=http://help.forumotion.com/index.htm
    now place this after the your link.
    Code:
     ]
    now you can put what ever text you like after that and cap the whole thing of with with a /url tag like this.
    Code:
    [/url]
    so your whole code will look like this.
    Code:
     [url=http://help.forumotion.com/index.htm]TEXT HERE[/url]

    and this is how it will appear when finished. TEXT HERE

    Now if you wanted to add a banner or other image to it. you just place the img tags from what ever image host you are using. I would recommend http://tinypic.com/ but you can use any image host you like.

    here is a image code i am using.
    Code:
    [IMG]http://i31.tinypic.com/29lb4om.jpg[/IMG]

    and like i said above all you would do is add the image code where the text would go and once again cap it off with the url tag
    Code:
    [/url]
    here is my whole code
    Code:
     [url=http://help.forumotion.com/index.htm][IMG]http://i31.tinypic.com/29lb4om.jpg[/IMG][/url]
    Click on banner

    It looks like a "chain" (Placing link in a Post Link, the 8th button in the quick reply box. Click that and type the link in the first field, and then in the second fiel (Placing link in a Post Link_text), type the text that you want it to correspond to.
