Question about moderators Empty Question about moderators

Post by Chris Moore July 3rd 2007, 6:56 am

I am the admin of the site alcoband.motionforum.net. I added the band staff to the moderator usergroup so that they can read/post under a staff discussion forum. The problem is, my moderators can't see that particular forum or post in it. I even made the forum visible, but only accessible to moderators, and they still cannot post. So, it is invisible to moderators again. I went to user admin and group admin, then group admin then to permissions (for moderators), then tried to check the box under moderator status to "is moderator".. after saving, these boxes do not stay checked.. there is also nothing under simple permissions.. they are all blank. help!

    Hello and welcome.

Because you are new, here are useful links where you can look for answers :

Arrow List of the Frequengly Asked Questions' topics
    Arrow Tricks & Tips
Arrow List of the Tricks & Tips topics
    Arrow The Search feature
Arrow The FAQ of Question about moderators Editboard3xc5

Moreover, if you don't find the answer for your question, don't hesitate to open a new topic since this section is made for this !

To answer your question : There is a glitch in the group permissions when we are in Simple parameters. Switch to Advanced parameters with the link at the top-right corner of the admin panel and then, you will have no more problem giving permissions to groups as long as you stay in Advanced parameters.
