We see some guests on our forum. I can check the IP:s of course but is there a way to see where the guests came from. If they came from a search engine, what search words did they use?
I know this is possible on blogs and home pages - how about on a forum?

Only if you see them on in the acp when they are online or if they post something.But it's nothing to worry about it can mean someone is just viewing the out side of the forum,forums guest have permissions to or they are registering.

There is a simple way of doing this and managing it,

Two words, "Google Analytics".

Create an account => http://www.google.com/analytics/

Then, follow the guidelines and add the code they supplied you with here :

Administration Panel=>General Tab=>Statistics=>Google Analytics=>Account ID=>Add code=>Save

Now, you'll have what you want, and you can access the forum's activity from your google account. I'll private message you making sure you read this topic so that you can say if you question is solved or not,
