I have a .com domain and i also went ahead and added a forumotion forum to my site and my forum is doing quite well. in fact its doing so well i would like to add a latest topics feed to my homepage.

basically like a widget that displays the latest forum posts on my homepage.

i noticed the portal has a latest topics feed but i have no idea how to get it onto my homepage

does forumotion offer anything like this?

and if not....how might i go about creating one

you can come here and click the toolbar download banner, this will open a page where you will see that on the toolbar image there is an icon latest posts . when I click in my browser on that icon it shows me latest 20 feeds from my forum. You can do it too.
