    Solved Visual text editor?

Post by TheTubeScape March 6th 2010, 11:33 am

    Hello,

In some sites, when you type and make it bold (for example) it will appear bold in the text box. With this forum text box, you just see the codes like [bold] (HTML editor). Is there a way to get a visual editor?

Also, what are the appearance capabilities of turning HTML on for a post?

    Hello,

Yes, you can do it on your forum.
Please navigate to Admin CP > General > Messages & Emails > Configuration > Activate extended message editor : 'Yes'
Also set Activate the WYSIWYG mode by default in the posts : 'Yes'

Now Save the changes Very Happy

    Thank you.

When making a post, can I choose whether to use the visual or the HTML editor?

    Yes, you can.
You can hit the 'A/A' button on the top-right corner of the reply box to toggle between editor modes.

Thank you. That must explain why I was still seeing codes.

But I only see this icon:

    AA

And that changes the size of the text :/

No, there is a 'A/A button there which toggles between extended editor modes.
