We have been inundated with one or two people registering under different names, and then sending out lots of spam private messages. I think they may have damaged the system.

Whenevr I try to send a pm now I get the message "Could not query private message post information"

For the moment I have disabled pm's.

Can anyone help me re this? It is causing serious inconvenience for members.

You should ban the members that did registered with different names. Ban their IP addresses so that they will never be able to register again.

no, cuz i dont have the problem with PM spammers, but i still get the General Errors

Thanks all. They seem to have access to many IP addresses initially. Now they are only private messaging (or were....) I don't know how to find out what IP address they are using anyway.
