Listener, Flamin, CodyCFS has a similar (in terms of quickly accessing your posts) but it's NOT like the Facebook alert system

Retsrif, do you know how many servers forumotion uses?

As far as strain goes, I'm not referring to the connection of the user, I'm referring to when the DB sends to the user (as opposed to opening a website, when u go to the DDB)
It will take more constraint than ya think, and even FaceBook 'techs' have said it too more work then expected

but why would it strain? i still don't get why? i mean it's basically like cody's bar but instead of using direct links it would use javascript
