    Closing Registration To New Users Empty Closing Registration To New Users

    I'm an Admin in a forum. We want to make our forum exclusive by closing registration to new members. I've looked in the admin control panel for a good 2 hours and the only options I've found are Closed For Repair and Closed For Holiday. Obviously that's not what I'm looking for. I've looked thru your FAQ and this forum but still haven't found out how. Can you help me with this please?

    Hi,i think this is how you do it.....
    Admin panel>>>>Users & Groups>>>>User Settings...where it says "allow new members",check no...

    Nessa ... sorry but I have to say this! You look amazing. I know its not the topic of this page but ... may I be banned, kicked out, hit ... whatever, but I had to say this. Compliments.

    To return to the topic: I wanted to have guests apply and then as an Admin decide if to accept the application or not. Now, as it is, if they register they have immediate access to the forum.
    How do you do this ?

    You can go to admin panel=>Users & Groups=>Users=>User settings and choose "Admin" from this option "New accounts activation" . That way you will receive an e-mail for every new registered member and you need to confirm it before he/she can access the forum.
