Is there a way to attach a ban to a private message?

what do you mean attach a ban?
if you ban someone they are just banned and will no longer have any access to the forum to even see a private message.

Now if you would like to revoke privileges for someone to have private messages rights/permissions.

then you can just set this in there profile via ACP

Like When they get done reading the PM Message that explains their ban they close out and go to the forums and it says you've been banned for this reason.

no you cant do it like that.

when you ban someone there is an option text field to place any reasons why they where banned if you wish to fill it in for what ever reasons.

so when they come on to the forum and try to log in. it will say.

you have been banned from this forum.. reason and what ever the reason you fill in.
