When I searched for my forum on google I was shocked to find the top results displayed as:

say my keyword was cars or my forum was about cars... above my real forum's link displayed in the google results from a board-directory link could be displayed cars racism or cars godawful or any number of very negative results with a whole lot of other forums that have the same keyword cars but not the irrelevant added keyword... for example racism...

This is just an example... my forum isn't about cars...

I cringe to have my forum associated even randomly with any number of these wildcard search results as it creates a very negative perception of not only my forum but many others that just happen to share an innocuous keyword and whatever other wild thing the board directory search came up with... google then seems to display the most ghastly of these results to maybe up the click through rate...

Please can someone help me with this... it does create a really negative image that I and I'm sure no one else wants associated with their forum...

i dont know how we can help. we have no control over google's search engine? i am not even sure if i understand the question completely..
But this seems like a question google support can answer better then us here.

use as many different key words and meta tags as possible.
i mean even with that.. it's the world wide web. google is one of the biggest if not the biggest search engine on the planet.. so anything and everthing can come up in any given search you do?

So yeah i dont know how we would be able to help with this ..unless your are solely talking about finding your forum in the forumotion directory
