    Solved Copy & Paste?

    Post by Ronson July 22nd 2010, 5:49 am

    I've searched the database for this problem and have not found anything yet. I have a forum (Psychopathic Rydaz) that I created about a year ago and I have another forum (House of 1000 Corpses) that I created 2 days ago. Is there any way at all to do a transfer of some categories from one forum to another? Or will something of this nature be a huge undertaking on my part and have to be entered the old fashion way one key stroke at a time?

    By the way the Category I am referring to is entitled "EQoA, Quest, Lore, & More..." located on the Psychopathic Rydaz website.

    Thanks in advance!

    You could copy and paste the information from one site to the other site.

    Yes but I would still have to do that almost 400 times and re-create the categories, forums, and sub-forums which is what I'm not wanting to do.

    I believe you will have to re-create the categories, forums, and sub-forums.

    i would either create a forum called House of 1000 Corpses on your other forum and when clicked it will go to that forum.

    To do this just create another forum on your forum and place this code as the title of your forum.

    it's just a text link
    Code:
     <a href="http://houseof1000corpses.forumotion.com/login.forum?connexion" class="postlink" target="_blank">House of 1000 Corpses Forum</a>

    Example
    click on the the fist forum over here that says forumotion support.

    or you can always place the 1000 corps forum link in an i frame and add to a html page and then place in your nav bar.

    To do this just create another forum on youir forum and place this code as the title of your forum.

    it's just a text link
    Code:
     [url=http://help.forumotion.com/%5C%22http://houseof1000corpses.forumotion.com/login.forum?connexion%5C%22]House of 1000 Corpses Forum[/url]

    Example
    click on the the fist forum over here that says forumotion support.

    I would do that but the two sites should be kept a separate entity to maintain personal integrity between the two. Nice suggestion though tyvm!

    Or may be something like this.

    create a html page then add the html page link in your nav bar.
    here the code. i just added your background and added some a heavy metal Internet radio station to it..you can always change it if you like.

    Code:
     </br>
    <center><iframe src='http://houseof1000corpses.forumotion.com/login.forum?connexion'width='100%' height='1024px' style='border: 1px solid #B27400'></iframe></center>
    <iframe src='http://delicast.com/radio/metal/Emuzyka_Metalcore' width='0%' height='0px' style='border: 0px solid #'></iframe>
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"><head><title>Your page</title><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /><meta name="author" content="RoNo"><meta name="description" content="My Custom Page"></head><body style="background:url(http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/4016/ilogomn.png);background-attachment:fixed;"bgcolor="#111111" text="#000000" link="#000033" vlink="#000033" alink="#000033"><link rel="shortcut icon" href="Your cool Favicon link here"></body></html>
    </br>

    Example html page Here

    but thats about all you will be able to do unless you have like a banner that you click to your other forum there is no way to transfer data from one forum to another. forumotion do not offer that at this time.
