    Oh, haha thank you XD!

    I used "ctrl+F" to find it, and it must have just skipped ahead to the 2.3 and 2.4 part.

    I'm going to continue trying this tonight so I'll let you know if I have questions for sure ^_^!

    In the CSS, it can be:
    http://address_of_your_forum/css.forum
    See here an example: https://help.forumotion.com/css.forum

    Try this, its better!

    Where exactly do you put the codes you provide? such as:

    <option> Choose your theme </option>

    If i'm understanding correctly, you are first putting the code in a code editing program such as dream weaver, then transfering it to the forum?

    If that is correct, where do you transfer the code to once you have it all written up? Where is it in the admin panel?

    I just cannot get this to work...

    I have followed the tutorial step by step exactly, and three times now it has resulted in nothing showing up on the main page at the end of it all. I am using phpBB3. Just nothing appears on the main index!

    I'm having a similar issue. Here is my final code for the 'over all header new' section:

    Code:

       <!-- BEGIN switch_h1 -->
                      <div id="pun-title">{switch_h1.MAIN_SITENAME}</div>
                      <!-- END switch_h1 -->

                      <!-- BEGIN switch_desc -->
                      <p id="pun-desc">{switch_desc.SITE_DESCRIPTION}</p>
                      <!-- END switch_desc -->
                   </div>
                   <div id="pun-head">
                      <div id="pun-navlinks">
                         <ul class="clearfix">
                            <li>{GENERATED_NAV_BAR}</li>
                         </ul>
                      </div><span id="temsel">[b]</span><script type="text/javascript" src="http://clover.top-forum.net/Style-Switcher-h3.htm"></script>[/b]
                      </div>

    did I put it after the correct </div> tag? Here are the URLS i'm using if it helps:
    theme 1
    http://demo.nicetheme.com/index.htm?theme_id=156735

    theme 2
    http://demo.nicetheme.com/index.htm?theme_id=156869

    And these are the 'altered' urls:
    http://clover.top-forum.net/156869-ltr.css
    http://clover.top-forum.net/156735-ltr.css

    Is this code for different user-defined themes or is it for putting different themes on different parts of the forum?

    In Example:
    I have a RP forum. It has Medival, SciFi, TV themed, and other themed game forums. I want to put corresponding skins on each - something woodsy for Medival, a space theme for SciFi, etc.

    Or is this just to let users choose what they would rather look at, like on a VBulliten forum?

    Ok for anyone that is getting problems getting this to work on phpBB3 & Invision please do as they say at the top of this post but you will need to change a Code
    Dont ask me why but it worked for me and my friends site

    Chatnge this code in Step 2 of the 1st post made by typlo & Darren1
    Code:
    var type = getCookie('template1');
        var temsel = document.getElementById('temsel');
        temsel.innerHTML ='<select onchange="changeskin(this.options[this.selectedIndex].value);window.location.reload();"><option> Choose your theme  </option><option value="valeur1"> Name of theme & creater 1</option><option value="valeur2">Name of theme & creater 2 </option><option value="valeur3"> Name of theme & creater 3 </option></select>';

        if (type == 'valeur1')
        {
          document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="URL_OF_YOUR_FORUM/IDNUMBER-ltr.css">');
        }
        else if (type == 'valeur2')
        {
          document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="URL_OF_YOUR_FORUM/_IDNUMBER-ltr.css">');
        }
        else if (type == 'valeur3')
        {
          document.write('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="URL_OF_YOUR_FORUM/IDNUMBER-ltr.css">');
        }

        function changeskin(change) {
          var scheme = change;
          var name = 'template1';
          var pathname = location.pathname;
          //var myDomain = pathname.substring(0,pathname.lastIndexOf('/')) +'/';
          var ExpDate = new Date ();
          ExpDate.setTime(ExpDate.getTime() + (180 * 24 * 3600 * 1000));
          setCookie(name,scheme,ExpDate,'/');
        }
        function getCookie(name){
          var cname = name + "=";
          var dc = document·cookie; if (dc.length > 0) { begin = dc.indexOf(cname); if (begin != -1) { begin += cname.length; end = dc.indexOf(";", begin); if (end == -1) end = dc.length; return unescape(dc.substring(begin, end)); } } return null; } function setCookie(name, value, expires, path, domain, secure) { document·cookie = name + "=" + escape(value) + ((expires == null) ? "" : "; expires=" + expires.toGMTString()) + ((path == null) ? "" : "; path=" + path) + ((domain == null) ? "" : "; domain=" + domain) + ((secure == null) ? "" : "; secure"); }

    Replace it with.
    Code:
    var type = getCookie('template1');
    var temsel = document.getElementById('temsel');
    temsel.innerHTML ='<select onchange="changeskin(this.options[this.selectedIndex].value);window.location.reload();"><option> Changer le style </option><option value="valeur1">1 YOUR NEW SKIN NAME HERE</option><option value="valeur2">2 YOUR NEW SKIN NAME HERE </option><option value="valeur3">3 YOUR NEW SKIN NAME HERE </option></select>';

       ExpDate.setTime(ExpDate.getTime() + (180 * 24 * 3600 * 1000));
       setCookie(name,scheme,ExpDate,'/');
    }
    function getCookie(name){
       var cname = name + "=";
       var dc = document·cookie;
       if (dc.length > 0) {
          begin = dc.indexOf(cname);
          if (begin != -1) {
             begin += cname.length;
             end = dc.indexOf(";", begin);
             if (end == -1) end = dc.length;
             return unescape(dc.substring(begin, end));
          }
       }
       return null;
    }
    function setCookie(name, value, expires, path, domain, secure) {
       document·cookie = name + "=" + escape(value) +

    Templates are available in phpBB2 and punBB only.
    In addition, only the founder admin can access the templates.

    Couldn't find the edit button, but the OP should be edited. Step 2 doesn't display correctly on all browsers. Perhaps it should be taken of of the spoiler/quote thing that it's in.

    Where is the

    Admin panel >> Display > templates/overall_header_new

    I can't find the templates link or tab or whatever. Can some one help me out?

    thanks

    Templates are available in phpBB2 and punBB only.
    In addition, only the founder admin can access the templates.

    I'm using phpBB2 and am the founding Admin.

    Only reference I see to templates is....

    Templates modified and published
    Templates modified and awaiting

    Any help would be great. Mad
