Add smileys from url
Adding smileys from url
At the moment the only way to add more smilies is to upload them from your computer. Many times have I found a smiley on the internet i want to use. It gets rather repetitive having to save it to your computer and then re-upload again. It would be much easier to copy the image url into a box and use that

I voted "Yes" is a great idea. But do you really think is THAT hard just to re-uploading it? Whatever..

@lego fan forum admin - No its not that hard it just gets rather boring when you have to upload 30-40 different smiles it would save a LOT of time

I voted NO.
If the link gets dead you will lose those smileys. Suppose these smileys were hosted on photobucket, remember we have problems with many skins wherein photobucket just deleted those images? It screwed up everything.
So its better we host it on Servimg via Forumotion, wherein such problems don't occur.

Not that way, dear Sanket

When you're adding a emoticon with URL, forum will auto upload to servimg. That will be such easy for administrator when adding lot of emoticons.

Copyright infringement is all that it takes for forumotion to ban your forum.Mr.moo cow wrote:It would be much easier to copy the image url into a box and use that
If this feature was available, then every forum owner might want to steal other forum's smileys and use them on their forums.
I'm voting no, to protect people's forums, for the under age creators that doesn't know about copyright,

I thought you had to be 13 to use formation anyway and by then I would think that most 13 year olds would have heard of copy right protectionMaster Marc wrote:Copyright infringement is all that it takes for forumotion to ban your forum.Mr.moo cow wrote:It would be much easier to copy the image url into a box and use that

Re: Adding smileys from url
Really don't think it is necessary. Just take the time to upload the images. Only will take you like 10 minutes if your quick

I'm voting YES, just because of convenience, and easily banishment of your forum, like Marc said.
Blindbat, imagine uploading 60+ smilies, it'll dramatically reduce the time, and even if your quick, it wouldn't take 10 minutes
