Changing Themes --Import ended. Why? Empty Changing Themes --Import ended. Why?

Post by ghosthunterbecki October 27th 2007, 9:36 pm

Hello everybody. I'm new to forumotion and I'm having a little bit of trouble. I've found a theme that I really like, and I've downloaded it. Now all I have to do is install it! I'm quite accustomed to doing so through paid hosting, by uploading the theme into the correct directory, and then (obviously) having it available via the administrative control panel.

However, clearly I don't have that option at this point in time, and I'm becoming rather frustrated. I've tried importing the theme as a zip file (what I remember from using SMF -- that's how themes are exported with that software) and the error I get is "import ended."

This isn't a great deal of information, and having searched through the topics in this forum and the FAQ forum, I'm not finding answers to my problem. I've seen several *attempts* to answer this question, but nothing that helps.

Thank you in advance for any help you're able to give me! forumotion is great stuff!

    Edited.

After you import a bbtheme extension you need to paste the css code for it. You can paste it in admin panel=>Styles=>pictures and colors=>Colors. Then go to the CSS tab and paste the code there.

Themes from other website don't work on forumotion.
The only themes that you can have (that are in the correct format for forumotion forums) are all located on hitskin.com

Jalokim is right. If you really want that theme though you can manually change the logo, buttons, icons on your forum. You can also change it's CSS.
