I first noticed this problem today. Members are showing they are on line in their profiles and actually they are not. I even changed the button to a different one and it still shows they are on line.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Try this:

Enter the Admin Control Panel >> Users & Groups >> Users Options - Try setting the Time in minutes before a member is considered "Offline" option to a lower setting.

I'm seeing the issue right now as I am typing. Issue has been reported.
