We need help with making viewing of our forum private for our member only. We are pretty new to this and would like the advise as to how to make viewing private and for members only. Hope someone can help us with this.

Click on a forum name.
Permissions tab.
Uncheck all for guests, remove it for all forums.

Im getting confussed when i click on Permissions tab uncheck, not sure what im doing from there, we want to make our forum private for our members only and thats were i get confused etc ##Thanks

Uncheck Guest from all of your forums, in each category. You need to do this for each of your forums, one at a time. Click Save after each action. This should be done in Advanced mode.

Guests will then be unable to see your forum or its topics.

Thanks for all help offered, please accept my apologies but im really stuck, can someone please help me i get as far as categories and forums then i get confussed with the permissions tab and uncheck. Is it possible someone can the guide me through what to do next.

Depending on how many forums you have within your categories, it will, most likely be quite a laborious task as each forum must be dealt with individually. I have done it & it is easier once you have done the first few forums.

Go to Admin Panel>General>Forum>Categories & forums>click on to x/tick (permissions), over on the right, for each forum in turn. Using Advanced mode untick all Guest permissions>Click Save. Repeat this for every forum you have on your message board.
