Chatbox Coding in Custom HTML Page
Is there anyway I can just make the chatbox that is included appear on a separate page? If so, how? And will it still be able to automatically log you in as your member name?

I don't know how , and I never saw it. If member already log in , and they just need to have click ''Log in'' in the chat box, they will not have to enter the user name and password.

No, I meant I want the chatbox on a custom html page, instead of putting it on index/portal.

I will sign up for his forum and get an HTML code. But it might only work if you are logged into the forum.
- Code:
<object classid="clsid:166B1BCA-3F9C-11CF-8075-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/director/sw.cab#version=8,5,1,0" width="1000" height="1000">
<param name="src" value="http://theworldoflore.niceboard.com/chatbox_mod/chatbox.forum">
<param name="swRemote" value="swSaveEnabled='false' swVolume='false' swRestart='false' swPausePlay='false' swFastForward='false' swContextMenu='false' ">
<param name="swStretchStyle" value="fill">
<embed src="http://theworldoflore.niceboard.com/chatbox_mod/chatbox.forum" width="1000" height="1000" swRemote="swSaveEnabled='false' swVolume='false' swRestart='false' swPausePlay='false' swFastForward='false' swContextMenu='false' " swStretchStyle="fill" type="application/x-director" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/"></embed>
</object>

Is it supposed to use shockwave? I can't use shockwave on my Intel-mac, and I seem to remember the normal chatbox working fine. Doesn;t it use flash or something?

Re: Chatbox Coding in Custom HTML Page
I think what you want to do is click the "modules" tab, then click the "html pages management". From there you'll see a button named "create new html page", click that. From there you can now create an html "Chat homepage"! Adding it to the navigation menu is also quite simple. You can find that in Modules>Portal structure>click modify in Navigation menu. There you can code in your link to page!Yaish wrote:hey how did u include a home page??

Re: Chatbox Coding in Custom HTML Page
If your talking about an intro page, I'm not sure that can be done on "free forums", although if you have an ftp server for your site, then yeah. There are many free Intro pages sites, google "free intro pages"..again this requires ftp access, as far as i know. This would be a good idea for the suggestion section, maybe having an "Intros" section available with on/off/modify text options.

Re: Chatbox Coding in Custom HTML Page
The code to include the chat is:
<IFRAME SRC="http://yourforum.forumotion.com/chatbox_mod/chatbox.forum" frameborder="0" width="600" height="300"></IFRAME>
<IFRAME SRC="http://yourforum.forumotion.com/chatbox_mod/chatbox.forum" frameborder="0" width="600" height="300"></IFRAME>

Re: Chatbox Coding in Custom HTML Page
If the code is really that simple, why then have they not coded it in to display on all of our forum pages?
Anyway, thanks Ridder7 for the code.![Smile](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
