You can get the favicon to appear on all pages, but you need to pay for the option to edit templates (valid for a year). You then simple add the same script for your favicon in the overall_header_new template that you can find under Admin>Style>Templates. I also found that I needed to add the script to viewforum_body, also in the same templates list. Once saved and published, your favicon appears on all pages.

please be aware template editing is only offered in version 2 at the moment.
