I always send out a monthly newsletter using Simple Text. this has never been a problem but today the newsletter was refused by some members using Hotmail or Live.

27 have failed and sent back with the following error:

550
SC-001 Unfortunately, messages from 74.86.112.135 weren't sent. Please
contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on
our block list. You can also refer your provider to
http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

the link points to this:

Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your Email/Internet Service Provider for help.

is for the IP 74.86.112.135 which must be Forumotion hosting as it's in Dallas.

I have the exact same problem with the exact errors too. I could send newsletters normally always and just now it just wont let me

This issue is with Microsoft's (hotmail & live) spam filter's, which have detected our emails as spam, and have now been blocked from their servers.
Forumotion cannot control this, and the cause off this is other forums sending spam, which I would assume, to provoke this.

The only way to correct this, is to add "forumotion.com" and "Forumactif.com" to your safe lists, then, it will be able to work, as MrMario has already stated.

Or complain to microsoft and tell then you never had a problem with it before.
But yeah it;s on their end and they will end up telling you the same thing.

Hi Folks thanks for the answers, damn spammers have a lot to answer for! It's a shame that people ruin it for others. Guess that's the problem with shared hosting.
