Our old rank and permission system was far to complicated - Officials were higher than team members and developer even higher, though they all were official employees - we now realise this and have made some severe changes to both ranks and usergroups including merging and deleting most of our ranks.
There are now only 2 visible ranks: Team & Moderator. Team member has replaced developer & official and team members now have the powers of forum administrators, developers and webmasters. This means that they have ultimate control over virtually every aspect of JHgames.
Moderators has combined Chatbox Mod, Global Mod and sectional mod. Moderators now have moderator rights in all forums and the chatbox to ensure better, well rounder moderating. Their power to IP ban has been restricted though and they may only issue 48 hour bans for a team member to review.
We have also added a few new ways to recognise moderators & team members so that staff impersonation is virtually impossible. The following measures have been implimented

Gold Crown in front of username
'Team' Under username
Blue or pink posts when moderating / creating stickies (As seen here)
Moderators
Silver Crown in front of username
'Moderator' under username
Silver Username
Green Posts when moderating / creating stickies
