    Solved Forum monitoring

Post by Forumchallenged Mon Aug 01, 2011 10:23 pm

    Hello,

I am overwhelmed by all the threads and information to sift through. How or who do I contact about board privacy issues?

Also, does Forumotion monitor all the boards created? Can they read my board if it is private?

    Thank you.

    1. What are your issues with privacy?
    2. They have software and people who can check forums to see if there is bugs, illegal content on their service. You are allowing Forumotion to do, so when you create the forum.

    1. What are the steps to ensure I have made my forum or forum threads private only to admins?

    2. I have a "guest" with the same IP address, lurking several times a day (and night), everyday. How can I find out if this is Forumotion checking for bugs, illegal content on their service or someone other than Forumotion?

    Thank you!

    1. Set your permissions up right in General // Categoies and click Perms for each section to your liking for permissions.

    2. Guest are sometimes bots who index your forum to bring you more members. Can't remove bots. Bots can only see what guest can see. For Forumotion and their software checking forums. You won't know.
