How do I give someone a rank for being top poster for 1 week and then change it to another person the next. Also say they are ranked as a VIP how do I do this? can members have two ranks at once?

add new rank
Rank Title : VIP
Set as Special Rank : no (Will be automatically)
Minimum Posts : Place a minimum of posts to become a VIP (Numbers, not characters)
Rank Image URL : Anything

How do I give each of my members their individual ranks

You will have to create one for each member you want ot give one to.

Where do I go in the control panel to assign a designated member a rank? For example, if I have a Gold Member rank, where do I go in the control panel to give only certain people, the rank of Gold Member?

Go to AP > Users and groups > Search users > Enter user's username and scroll down his profile and you'll find Rank Title. Set it to Gold Member.
