Change Domain Name

Hello

I have read several topics, but some of the answers appear to say different things so I would just like to clear this up.

We have our own domain (not purchased through forumotion) we want to change it.
We are going to buy a new domain name (not through forumotion) will we be able to change it?

Also, is the cost for changing the domain based upon anything?
For example, we were hit with inflated costs for ad removal because of how busy our site was. Will we be hit with an inflated cost for changing the URL?

I doubt it will affect anything, since you are buying the domain name from outside Forumotion & then setting it up !

It was just with various announcements saying that domain transfers were suspended, some say its outgoing transfers, some just say transfers in general.
I wasnt sure if we would be able to change ours.

Domain name transfers are suspended. Which means, domains brought via forumotion cannot be taken to a different domain registrar like godaddy !

There is nothing like domains brought from outside forumotion cant be setup. However, the setup has to be done on from wherever you got the domain name.
