Xat chat box issues

I want t change the standard chat to xat chat. I have the code and would like to know where to put it. I have been having trouble with this and need some advice.

you can stick the xat chat in a widget.
If you want to put it at the bottom ofthe forum where th current chat is that will require a few tricks.

or you can put the chat code in a forum's description

Well you have to tell us where you want it, since your using phpbb2 you have more options if you wanted it in a template as well?

I would like it where the current one is. i believe its set at the top of the page. I would love it on every page really. but one thing at a time....

Ok,then you want to place the code in the homepage announcement.

Admin panel>general>messages and emails>announcements

Activate announcements = yes
Announcements display = all pages
Scrolling = No

then hit save

Now click on the green plus icon to create a new announcement,past the xat code and hit save.

You may want to wrap the code in center tags as well.

Hi and thanks for the help. Unfortunately i have given up on Xat now. But thanks for the help. Love the idea of the chat but would rather change the one i have just not happy with it. I have posted a help ticket on this.
