    Solved Stuck - Calendar view?

    Post by felicity4us2 November 9th 2011, 10:21 pm

    Hi,

I am not finding an option where members can 'view' the calendar without also having the option to 'add an event'.

I want members to be able to 'see' the calendar, but not be able to add anything.

(Permissions are set properly in forums).

    thanks for your help.
    Felicity

oh just be sure you have the calender Activated ,But do not allow any calender events in the forums permissions. You will have to set each forums permissions accordingly.

So then your members will be able to see the calender and any events you add, but can not add their own.

to be sure the Calendar is activated go to.

    Admin panel>modules>calender

activate calender = yes and hit save

When they open the calendar from the nav bar it still says 'add event' at the bottom of the calendar.

Even after I did all of that.

sorry - I was using an admin acct to check it - oops! Thanks.
