2009 in review

Hey there!

Can you believe it's nearly New Years time already, I can't!
What's next is the end of 2009 & the start of 2010

So in order to make abreast of the year that is passing us by just so god damn fast, I along with Nessa's permission have been granted the ability to summarize the year just about to leave us, starting below.

1. 2008 went out with a Skin-Creation competition for Invision.
   At this time Invision was only a few months old, and didn't have very many skins.
   Thanks to this competition, it now has many upon many different styles of skins!

2. Invision Graphic contest winners!
   The winners of our Invision skin contest were announced.

3. Hitskin.com update : custom CSS managed
   Hitskin was now able to handle customized CSS, which improved ForuMotion skins quality trifold!

4. Twilight has now found its place on Forumotion!
   The phenomenon of Twilight had hit ForuMotion, and they released a bunch of Twilight subdomains, just because it was so popular

7. Early year update!
   This update contained many things which are bring improved on, and are many useful utilities for our forums today, some examples are: Reputation mod, Points system, advanced profile & multi-quote; naturally there are more things but I can't list them all

    The ability to edit the Templates of PunBB was enabled, and now we got the ability to create our own group in the ForuMotion Directory!

13. Ability to change your forums into blogs!
    The end of the Internets problems has been created!
    ForuMotion released the ability to convert a forum into a blog, then change it back to a forum and there would be NO loss of ANY posts or blogging.
    You can also run both blogs AND forums on your site coincidentally!

    After much time, our dedicated volunteer Administrator Caihlem has left the big seat of Administration, leaving Luky to be the volunteer admin replacing Caihlem.

I hope that this small break down of 2009, the year that has been has helped you understand the massive improvements here on ForuMotion!

A huge thanks goes to dotDavid for creating the Banner, and also to Nessa to allowing this thread to go ahead. And also to Luky, whom according to Nessa gave me permission to go lose with this thread **Please note that I have left out the competition named "MovieMotion", and the major server problem on purpose

Oh Darren hun, you are just so sweet, hehe.. This year at Forumotion has been one crazy ride that's for sure, but it is because of members like you , it has been so worth while for us all here as staff and have enjoyed the journey along the way.. although Number 14 found me heartbroken and happy all at the same time.. I still say the best is yet to come hun.. Best Wishes for your happy holidays and wonderful new year sweetness.

have to agree, this year was just plain crazy from kilsek to skittles, caihlem & luky just amazingly fast

this year's been pretty good, so I donno why anyone can top it off, maybe Marc in staff would be great but who knows if that's gonna happen xD

I wonder what's to come in 2010?

Oh well, 2009 was good.

2009 was overall a good year I think. Sure it has it's bad sides but also it's good sides. Overall though I think it was a good year for Forumotion and for it's users.
We got a lot of new features throughout the year from the updates the technicians made, and a couple of changes on this support forum. Both good and bad.

Some of the good one's are the creation of the review staff and of course all the new additions we had in the staff throughout the year(reviewers, graphic designers, support mods) and some of the bad one's are the staff members that left the staff, from Caihlem to Placehold and Sunny_D, Veljko and the list could go on.

What can I say at the end of 2009 ?
That I look forward to see what 2010 brings for Forumotion and all of it's users. I for one hope for the best

I hope we will all have a great 2010 even better then 2009

2009 for Forumotion was good and bad just like Luky said. Forumotion came this far because of their users of the service. Without suggestions or involvement Forumotion would be still in the hole. I can't wait to see what is in store for next year. It looks good so far. Have a great new year and will see you in 2010.
