question about the new topic button and password 's power

I got some questions to ask

1. can we add the same new post shown as u sed in your site like when a new post comes it shows the line with new written on the index

2. can we make something like when a member is adding his password for register he shall know that his password is strong medium or week as all big sites have this option

1st one was that the new and the letter picture you get on index in everyforum as new post comes which tells us that new post came can we add the same picture like you are and how to add it
